Information Risks & Network Security

In recent years, computer networks, laptop computers, BlackBerries, PDAs and other similar technologies have become important tools for businesses. As these tools have become more and more common, the risks they present are frequently overlooked.

At NLdH, we are well versed in the laws that pertain to how companies are required to protect personal data. More important, we know how to keep our clients compliant with these laws while allowing them to utilize the technologies that have become so crucial to business.

Our lawyers are skilled in the areas of information risk management and network security. We are available to proactively assist clients in designing strategies to mitigate risks and avoid litigation that may arise if personal information becomes compromised.

Our law firm offers the following services pertaining to information risk management:

  • Assist in navigating through the risks involved in technology, such as networks, laptops and PDAs
  • Establishing procedures to immediately address compromised personal information that may range from Social Security numbers to account numbers
  • Updating policies to ensure compliance with regulatory reforms involving the security of data
  • Defending against lawsuits involving allegations of mishandling of personal information

As a law firm that is committed to staying on the cutting edge of not only the law, but of the technology used to practice it, we understand the importance of these requirements and tools. We use them every day.
