Columbus, OH, July 30, 2009 - Susan T. Stead, Partner and member of the Insurance Regulatory and Transactional practice group at Nelson Levine de Luca & Hamilton (NLdH), has been accepted as a member of the Federation of Regulatory Counsel (FORC).
FORC is a national association of attorneys who specialize in insurance regulatory law. In order to be considered for membership, an applicant must be experienced in insurance regulatory law, concentrate his or her practice on insurance regulatory matters and must be recommended by insurance industry executives.
Ms. Stead concentrates her practice on insurance regulatory matters with a special emphasis on compliance and market regulation issues. She is a frequent speaker on insurance regulatory issues and compliance. Prior to joining NLdH in 2005, she was an Assistant Director for the Ohio Department of Insurance.
She is a CPCU and a member of the Board of Directors of the IRES Foundation, an organization dedicated to supporting education and training for insurance regulators. She is also a member of the American, Ohio State and Columbus Bar Associations. Ms. Stead is a graduate of Wittenberg University and received her law degree at Ohio State University College of Law.
