Michael Kurtis is a partner in the firm's Blue Bell office. Mr. Kurtis concentrates his practice primarily on reinsurance matters on behalf of cedents and reinsurers, advising clients on issues pertaining to coverage analysis, claim presentations, contractual wordings and dispute resolution, including litigation and arbitration. Mr. Kurtis' practice also includes complex third-party coverage litigation involving construction defects and other mass tort claims. Mr. Kurtis handles both reinsurance and coverage matters on a national basis, and his client base includes domestic insurers and reinsurers as well as the London insurance and reinsurance market. Mr. Kurtis is also the editor of NLdH's National Coverage Insurance Practice Group's quarterly newsletter, "Coverage Insights."
Prior to specializing in reinsurance and third-party liability coverage, Mr. Kurtis was a member of the firm's Subrogation Practice, where he focused on investigating and litigating large property loss matters involving products liability, construction defects and general and professional negligence. Prior to joining NLdH, Mr. Kurtis gained litigation experience handling liability defense cases in Philadelphia and New Jersey.
