![]() Robert T. Horst Robert T. Horst specializes in the representation of his insurer clients in class action cases, coverage disputes, and "bad faith" cases. He has tried numerous cases to verdict and has argued in both the state and federal appellate courts. Born and raised in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, Mr. Horst graduated from Penn State University and Villanova University School of Law. A frequent lecturer on topics related to his practice, Mr. Horst has presented to such organizations as the: Federation of Defense and Corporate Counsel, Property Loss Research Bureau, International Association of Special Investigative Units, Pennsylvania Bar Association, and the Pennsylvania Bar Institute, amongst others. Mr. Horst has also been retained as a litigation expert in the area of insurance bad faith litigation in both state and federal courts and regularly provides counsel to his insurer clients regarding regulatory compliance, underwriting issues and business practices. In 2007, Mr. Horst has been re-appointed a member of the Investigative Division of the Philadelphia Bar Association's Commission on Judicial Selection and Retention. Also, in September 2002, he was named by The Legal Intelligencer and Pennsylvania Law Weekly as one of Pennsylvania's 50 on the Fast Track, as those periodicals named 50 lawyers in Pennsylvania under the age of 40, as nominated by their peers, who are expected to influence and lead the Pennsylvania legal community in years to come.
