John T. Salvucci is a partner in the Complex Litigation Group at Nelson Levine de Luca & Horst.  His practice focuses on healthcare law.  Mr. Salvucci regularly provides his clients with healthcare professional liability insurance coverage opinions, coverage litigation and the representation of excess insurers in high exposure cases. 

Chartis has recently appointed him to their Catastrophic Injury Panel.  He has served as national counsel in mass tort litigation, defending claims on behalf of: a weight loss company; a medical device manufacturer of bone screws; and most recently, a company processing human bone tissue.

Mr. Salvucci is a highly sought-after speaker on a variety of medical topics. Last year, he was an invited speaker on medical products at a world conference held in Malaysia.  As a result of his scientific writing, the International Atomic Energy Agency ("IAEA") solicited him to join a group of 15 scientists and doctors from around the world.  From May 10-15, 2010, the Committee met at IAEA's headquarters in Vienna, Austria to establish protocols addressing the remediation of materials contaminated with anthrax and other lethal pathogens. The Committee's work will be summarized in a book circulated among the member states of the United Nations. The book's purposes are to inspire support for the international treaties and conventions to outlaw malicious activities, to urge attention to the systems available in the respective countries, and, to ensure preparedness against potential contaminants. During the conference, the Committee Chairman requested Mr. Salvucci to draft the book's final chapter, "Conclusions and Future Considerations."
